Day 1

Arrival in Dublin

Arrival  at Dublin airport.

Pick-up of your hire car at the airport.

Afternoon:

  • Check-in at your hotel in the city centre.
  • Free stroll: Trinity College & Book of Kells, Grafton Street, Temple Bar and the River Liffey.
  • Optional visit: Guinness Storehouse (panoramic view from the Gravity Bar) or Whiskey Museum.

Dinner recommended:

  • The Church Café (original, in a former church)
  • Gallagher's Boxty House (traditional Irish cuisine)

Parc National des Monts Wicklow
Day 2

Dublin → Glendalough → Kilkenny 130 km / 2.5 hours approx.

Morning:

  • Drive to County Wicklow, nicknamed “the garden of Ireland”.
  • Walk in the Monts Wicklow National Park, with stops at Sally Gap and Lough Tay (“Guinness Lake”).

Afternoon:

  • Visit to the monastery of Glendalough, in the heart of the glacial valley.
  • Continue on to Kilkenny, a charming medieval town.

Evening:

  • Take a stroll through the medieval streets, passing through Smithwick's Experience (local brewery).

Dinner recommended:

  • Kyteler's Inn (14th-century tavern)
  • Zuni Restaurant (modern local cuisine)

Overnight in Kilkenny.

Rock of Cashel
Day 3

Kilkenny → Rock of Cashel → Killarney 190 km / 3h15 approx.

Morning:

  • Visit Kilkenny Castle and stroll around its gardens.
  • Departure for the Rock of Cashel, a historic site in medieval Ireland.

Afternoon:

  • Drive to Killarney, at the foot of the National Park.
  • Check-in at your accommodation.

  • Horse-drawn carriage ride to the Gap of Dunloe (weather permitting) or gentle walk.

  • Relax in Killarney or visit a local farm.
