Wales Tour: breathtaking, unspoilt landscapes

Your adventure begins on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (formerly Brecon Beacons National Park). The landscape changes very quickly. Lush green valleys give way to mountains, whilst waterfalls and moorland provide a spectacular backdrop.

As you travel along the route, you’ll also discover the Celtic legends that shape Wales’s identity. Among them, the Green Man – a symbol of nature and renewal – features on many churches and historic buildings.

A trip to Wales to meet local craftspeople

The journey then takes on a more intimate feel with a visit to Melin Tregwynt, a family-run spinning mill renowned throughout the country.

You’ll discover the various stages involved in making the famous Welsh blankets – woollen blankets woven using skills passed down through several generations. Above all, you’ll have the chance to chat with the craftspeople and gain a better understanding of the importance of this heritage within Welsh culture.

The unique experience of the Green Man Festival

Your 8-day tour of Wales then takes you to the Green Man Festival, one of the UK’s most popular cultural events.

Over two days, you can enjoy an atmosphere that’s both festive and relaxed. Open-air concerts, art installations, craft markets, local cuisine and performances all take place one after the other in an exceptional natural setting. More than just a festival, it’s a true immersion in Welsh creativity and the Welsh way of life.

Wales Tour: from cliffs to medieval castles

After this musical interlude, you’ll arrive at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The coastal paths wind their way along impressive cliffs, whilst the unspoilt beaches invite you to slow down and take full advantage of the scenery.

Finally, the journey continues to North Wales to explore the majestic castles of Conwy and Caernarfon, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Their imposing fortifications tell the story of several centuries of history, spanning conquests, legends and traditions. The medieval villages surrounding them add an extra touch of charm to this final leg of the journey.
