Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most frequently asked questions about planning your bespoke trip to the UK and Ireland, our services, your bookings and your traveller’s portal.
Your journey with Brightside
We organise trips to Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Our local team knows these destinations well and selects itineraries, accommodation and experiences tailored to each trip.
Yes. Every trip is tailored to your dates, your budget, your pace and your interests. The itinerary, accommodation, transport, sightseeing and activities can be adjusted before the final confirmation of your trip.
When you book with Brightside Travel, you’ll benefit from first-hand knowledge of the destinations, carefully selected local partners, a well-planned itinerary and support before, during and after your trip.
Quotes and bookings
You can fill in our quote request form by providing your dates, the number of travellers, your preferred destination, your requirements and your budget. A member of our team will then get in touch with you to discuss your plans in more detail.
The turnaround time depends on the complexity of the trip, the period requested and the availability checks required. Our team will usually get back to you within a few days with an initial proposal or a request for further information.
The validity period is stated on your quote. As prices and availability for accommodation, transport and activities can change rapidly, we recommend that you confirm your trip within the timeframe specified.
The services included are set out in your quote: accommodation, car hire, transfers, transport, tours, activities, guides and any other services booked. Services not included are also specified.
Your booking is confirmed once you have accepted the quote, agreed to our terms and conditions, and paid the required deposit. You will then receive a confirmation, along with details of the next steps in preparing for your stay.
Payments and changes
Payment details are set out on your quote and in your traveller’s portal. Depending on your booking, you can pay the deposit and then the balance online, or use the payment method specified by our team.
A deposit is usually required at the time of confirmation, and the balance must then be paid before departure in accordance with the payment schedule provided. Specific terms and conditions may be considered depending on the amount and the date of booking.
We do our best to accommodate requests for changes. However, these are subject to availability, our partners’ terms and conditions, and any additional charges that may apply.
The cancellation terms and any applicable fees are set out in our terms and conditions of sale and in the documents relating to your booking. We recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance.
