Brightside Travel LTD is an incoming agency specialising in the organisation of tailor-made trips to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Brightside Travel designs and organises personalised itineraries that may include:

  • accommodation
  • guided tours
  • activities and excursions
  • ground transport
  • cultural and local experiences

Some services are provided by independent service providers carefully selected by Brightside Travel LTD.

Brightside Travel acts as tour operator for the services mentioned in the contract or quotation accepted by the traveller.

Brightside Travel LTD does not sell air transport unless otherwise stated in the travel contract.

2 - Acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale set out the terms and conditions for the sale of trips offered by Brightside Travel LTD.

Any booking of a trip implies full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

In the event of any contradiction between these general terms and conditions and the special terms and conditions set out in the quotation or detailed programme accepted by the traveller, the latter shall prevail.

3 - Registration and payment

3.1 Registration

Travel bookings are made with Brightside Travel advisers:

  • by e-mail
  • by phone
  • or via the Brightside Travel website.

Reservations become definitive after :

  • validation of the quotation or travel programme
  • receipt of the signed travel contract
  • payment of the deposit requested.

Any registration for a trip implies acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

3.2 Terms of payment

Quotations are generally valid for 7 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.

Prices quoted are based on economic conditions at the time the quotation is drawn up and may be adjusted according to :

  • availability of services
  • changes in exchange rates
  • changes in taxes or charges imposed by local authorities.

Terms of payment

Bookings made more than 45 days before departure

  • deposit of 50 % of the total cost of the trip
  • balance due 45 days before departure

Bookings made less than 45 days before departure

  • full payment required on booking

Any bank charges are payable by the traveller.

4 - Travel information

4.1 Administrative and health formalities

Before signing up for a trip, all travellers must check that they have the necessary documents to enter and stay in the destination countries.

These documents may include

  • Valid passport
  • any necessary visa
  • health formalities

Brightside Travel provides general information on these formalities for French nationals. However, it is the responsibility of each traveller to check with the relevant authorities the conditions applicable to their situation.

Any traveller who is unable to travel because he or she has not presented the required documents will not be entitled to any refund.

Brightside Travel LTD cannot be held responsible for any consequences resulting from the traveller's failure to comply with administrative or health formalities.

4.2 Information on safety and health risks

Brightside Travel recommends that travellers consult the official information on safety in their destination country.

Information on health risks can also be consulted on the websites of international health authorities.

5 - Absence of air transport and routing of the passenger

Brightside Travel LTD does not sell air travel as part of its tours.

Travellers are responsible for organising their own transport to and from the place of departure.

Brightside Travel cannot be held responsible for delays, cancellations or incidents relating to transport booked directly by the traveller.

6 - Changes requested by the passenger

Any changes requested after the quote has been validated may result in amendment charges or a change to the price of the trip.

These costs will be communicated to the passenger before any changes are made.

7 - Transfer of the travel contract

Travellers may assign their contract to another person who meets the same conditions for making the journey.

Brightside Travel must be notified of the assignment within a reasonable time prior to departure.

8 - Cancellation policy

All cancellations must be notified to Brightside Travel in writing.

The following charges may apply:

  • more than 45 days before departure: 25 % of the cost of the trip
  • between 45 and 31 days: 35 %
  • between 30 and 15 days: 50 %
  • less than 15 days: 100 %

9 - Accommodation and services

The services offered may include :

  • accommodation
  • activities
  • excursions
  • ground transport

Accommodation is generally in double rooms, unless otherwise stated.

10 - Minors

Travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The documents required for the travel of a minor remain the responsibility of the legal representative.

11 - Liability

Brightside Travel LTD is responsible for the proper performance of the contracted services.

Brightside Travel cannot be held responsible in the event of :

  • traveller's fault
  • the unforeseeable actions of a third party
  • exceptional circumstances or force majeure.

12 - Complaints

Any complaint must be reported as soon as possible during the journey.

After your return, any claim must be made in writing within 30 days of the end of your trip.

13 - Personal data

The data collected at the time of booking is used solely to organise the trip.

It may be passed on to the service providers required to carry out the holiday.

14 - Applicable law

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by the law applicable in the United Kingdom.

Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall be referred to the competent courts.
